Happy New Year – Resolutions – Tips for Success

Happy New Year – Now that 2018 has arrived, we are full of excitement and energy about what this New Year will bring. Making resolutions to improve and better our lives are always a key part of each new year. However, how long do these resolutions really last 3 months?  Why is that? My theory is that we make our resolutions unrealistic and unattainable.   These 5 Tips for Success will help you stay on track and reach your goals.

#1 Start Small:  Take baby steps and celebrate each small victory, that way it is easier to maintain, stay on track and achieve long-term success.  Having checkpoints and an accountability partner will keep you on track.  Consider hiring a personal life and success coach to keep you accountable,  It’s well worth the money and  Andrea Swensen, Certified Coach with Hello Beautiful Ladies is offering a special bonus for singing on in January. With 12 coaching sessions, you will receive a bonus session for free and an HBL T-Shirt.  Remember – celebrating victory no matter how small.

#2 DeTox Your Life: Get rid of toxic people in your life, the ones that are jealous, gossipers, the naysayers who criticize and don’t truly have your back, the ones you can’t trust or the ones you have to impress. Life is too short to spend time with people who aren’t worthy of us.  We find joy in each day and in the people we surround ourselves with. You are who you spend time with. Who you spend time with is who you become. Be with people who uplift you. Form a new Tribe of friends with positive energy. Choose to go organic and toxin-free, save your body and save the environment.   HBL suggests Melaleuca products which are healthy for the skin, the mind, the body, the household and the environment.  Contact  [email protected]  to find out more about these amazing, life-changing products and when you sign up, receive a FREE HelloBeautiful Ladies T-Shirt. Make the commitment in 2018 to recycle and make the world a better place for the generations to come.

#3 Pick one Bad Habit to Stop and one New Habit to Start:  What  ONE bad habit would you like to break? Don’t try to tackle them all. Pick one and stick with it. If you stumble, don’t berate yourself and think all is lost, simply start over the next day and the next and the next until that habit is gone and a new one is formed.  Next, pick ONE area of your life in which you would like to improve. For example; perhaps you would like to give yourself positive affirmations each night before you go to bed, or you would like to read for 30 minutes every night.  Then ask yourself, what are the steps I must take in order to make this new habit a reality.  If you want to spend time at the gym, then start time blocking and setting aside the time. that time becomes precious and golden, don’t let anyone or anything distraction. you during that allotted time. Be committed and dedicated.

#4 Trade Your Expectations for Appreciation and Your Life Will Change:  Begin each day with a prayer of Gratitude in your heart. Begin by making 2 lists:  Fill one full with a list of all of your good qualities, you may even want to ask others what they believe your good qualities are. It may surprise you. You will find out things you didn’t know about yourself. It may take you a week but fill the page completely. Then read those positive traits or affirmations to yourself each night before you go to bed or tack them up on the mirror so you see them each morning.  Next, make a Gratitude list of everything good and great in your life and make that your morning prayer. You will find you have more joy and happiness each day. We all have problems in our lives but one thing I’ve found is that someone always has it worse than I do and I wouldn’t want to walk in their shoes. Be grateful for your challenges they make you stronger, they build character and how you handle them, defines who you are.
