Aquamarine Icicle Earrings
These stunning earring showcase four delicate aquamarine beads. The irregularly faceted aquamarine beads are subtle in color and naturally speckled with light catching iridescent reflections. The ascending beads are each hand picked for balance and symmetry. Each stone dances and catches light while suspended from hand looped Sterling Silver wire. Every stone is uniquely brilliant and naturally speckled with light catching iridescent reflections ensuring that no two gems are identical. Bold and stunning for an eye-catching look.
Due to the handmade nature of each piece, items may vary slightly from those shown. The individuality of each piece is what makes each item special and unique. Please note that the colors and shapes of the stones and metals may vary slightly from one pair to another, and that colors and finishes may appear slightly different on your computer monitor.
Aquamarine is a stone of courage helping to reduce stress and quiet the mind. Psychologically, Aquamarine has an affinity with sensitive people. It has the power to invoke tolerance of others. It helps to overcome judgmental tendencies and aids in supporting those overwhelmed by responsibility. Aquamarine calms the mind and helps in breaking old self-defeating programs.
Caring for your Artisan Jewelry:
Please be mindful that wire jewelry is very delicate and should be handled with the utmost care to ensure years of wear. I advise against wearing your jewelry to bed as the delicate wire pieces may become misshapen. It is also a good idea to avoid swimming or sunbathing in your jewelry as this may speed up the natural patina process.
Clean your Sage & Stone pieces regularly with warm water, a soft bristled brush and an ammonia and phosphate free dishwashing soap. Be sure to rinse throughly and gently pat dry. Regular cleanings will help prevent items from becoming heavily tarnished. Please avoid abrasive polishes as these may scratch the metals as well as degrade soft stones. If your pieces need a deeper cleaning method please refer to specific metal spot treatments below.
Spot treating Sterling Silver:
For items that are heavily tarnished mix baking soda and water forming a paste. Gently apply the paste to the metal only and spot treat as needed. For tight areas use a Q-tip, or a clean cloth being careful to avoid the stones. Throughly rinse in warm water and pat dry.
How to keep your Sterling from tarnishing:
Sterling Silver can tarnish as a result of exposure to air, sunlight, and contact with common household cleaners as well as lotions and perfumes. Prevention and proper care for your Sterling is the best defense in keeping your Sterling pieces looking new. When not wearing, it is recommended that you store your Sterling items in an air tight plastic with an anti-tarnish strip.
Of course, part of the fun in working with metals is appreciating the natural patina that develops over time. If you prefer the look of patinated silver and copper then simply cleaning with gentle soap and warm water will allow your Sage & Stone pieces to develop their own unique personality.
