Turquoise Copper Moon
These beautiful earring showcase hand selected turquoise stones inside a hand forged and hammered 1 1/2” soldered copper ring. Fastened with Sterling Silver wire and topped off with Sterling French ear hooks. Each pair is truly unique in that no two hoops or turquoise pieces are identical. The subtle luster of the hammered copper pair perfectly with the rich greens, blues, and browns of each Turquoise stone. Incorporating a classic southwestern vibe with a modern bohemian finish, the Turquoise moon series is ageless.

Turquoise
Turquoise is an efficient healer, providing solace to the spirit and well being for the body. Turquoise is traditionally a protective stone said to enhance intuition. Turquoise dissolves a martyred attitude or self-sabotage. Mentally, it instills inner calm while remaining alert. Physically, Turquoise is an excellent stone for exhaustion, depression, or panic attacks.
Caring for your Artisan Jewelry:
Please be mindful that wire jewelry is very delicate and should be handled with the utmost care to ensure years of wear. I advise against wearing your jewelry to bed as the delicate wire pieces may become misshapen. It is also a good idea to avoid swimming in or sunbathing in your jewelry as this may speed up the natural patina process.
Clean your Sage & Stone pieces regularly with warm water, a soft bristled brush and an ammonia and phosphate free dishwashing soap. Be sure to rinse throughly and gently pat dry. Regular cleanings will help prevent items from becoming heavily tarnished. Please avoid abrasive polishes as these may scratch the metals as well as degrade soft stones. If your pieces need a deeper cleaning method please refer to specific metal spot treatments below.
Spot treating Sterling Silver:
For items that are heavily tarnished mix baking soda and water forming a paste. Gently apply the paste to the metal only and spot treat as needed. For tight areas use a Q-tip, or a clean cloth being careful to avoid the stones. Throughly rinse in warm water and pat dry.
Spot treating Copper:
If your copper piece requires deeper cleaning, a simple mixture of lemon juice and salt will suffice. Be extra cautious to spot treat ONLY, as the high acidity in lemon will degrade softer stones if they come in contact with the lemon mixture. I advise using a Q-tip to gently swipe the copper areas you wish to clean and quickly rinse with warm water. Gently pat dry and your copper piece will shine like it’s new.
How to keep your Silver & Copper from tarnishing:
Silver & Copper can tarnish as a result of exposure to air, sunlight, and contact with common household cleaners as well as lotions and perfumes. Prevention and proper care of your metals is the best defense in keeping your jewelry looking new. When not wearing, it is recommended that you store your items in an air tight plastic with an anti-tarnish strip.
Of course, part of the fun in working with metals is appreciating the natural patina that develops over time. If you prefer the look of patinated silver and copper then simply cleaning with gentle soap and warm water will allow your Sage & Stone pieces to develop their own unique personality.
